Look What We Made 3!
08/02/10So we finally launched illRoots2 today. No more wack ass layout, no more “coming soon”. We also put out this dope Chip Tha Ripper video that Carson and I shot over the past few months.

I took these!
I’ve been to countless concerts of all sizes and shapes, but I can honestly say that I just got home from one of my favorite shows ever. To see our friend Chip Tha Ripper get such a great response in New York was really incredible. I had the biggest smile on my face during most of his set just because the reaction was so good. Sure, it helped that KiD CuDi introduced him and performed a few tracks as Almighty Gloryus, but Chip really did shine tonight undeniably. Fans also got a glimpse of what to expect from Gift Raps, produced entirely by Chuck Inglish. Gonna be a highlight project of this year, I promise you. Nero also got a chance to open and perform a few songs, my camera was tweaking then though.
Check out a buncha pictures I took of Chip and CuDi from a few hours ago.

Here’s What We’ve Been Doing: illRoots2 Promo
07/20/10After a year of planning, reworking, starting from scratch and traveling, illRoots2 is finally becoming a reality. It wasn’t until March of this year that Mike Carson and I really kicked things into motion. Since then we’ve gone from Chicago to Austin to New York to Los Angeles, capturing content from some of our closest friends and favorite artists. We’ve really dedicated so much time and brain power to this project that’s it’s sort of surreal to be this close to launch.
Now what exactly is illRoots2? In short, it’s the new version of illRoots with a much updated look that will focus primarily on providing high quality original content at a consistent basis. We’re enhancing our interview format, creating music videos, releasing new audio, doing photoshoots and throwing concerts amongst other things. All in house. We’ll still be bringing you what you want as far as news and media, just with our own material mixed in to play.
Some people came and went over the years, but our team is now concrete and really ready to try something new.
We appreciate your support and hope you stay tuned. The new site drops in the first week of August. Look out for Part Two of our promo video to announce the official release date. Fun things on the way!
